Coil and Molded Slider Compatibility
Nylon coil chain uses a continuous spiral element. Molded zipper chain uses separate plastic teeth. Their slider channels and working geometry differ, so the components must not be mixed.

Single-Pull Slider Applications
A single-pull slider is operated from one face and is commonly used on bags, wallets, cushions, organisers and cases.
Slider direction should be planned before installation so that the pull tab faces the intended outer side of the finished item.
Double-Pull Slider Applications
A double-pull slider has pull tabs on both faces of one slider body. It can be used on tents, sleeping bags and technical partitions that require operation from either side.
One double-pull slider is not the same as two separate sliders.
Pinned, Pinless and Combi Slider Mechanisms
Pinned and pinless descriptions distinguish product-specific internal mechanisms and intended zipper systems. Two sliders carrying the same nominal chain size may therefore perform differently.
In a combi or two-way separating zipper, the upper and lower sliders operate with a compatible chain and bottom-separating assembly. Replacing only one part with an unrelated slider may prevent correct operation.
